Sia was entering her 3rd year of college in pursuit of fulfilling her dream of becoming a pediatric physician when a “Sudden Acute Brain Hemorrhage”. transitioned her young life from Earth to Heaven. The Yorker family honors her memory through scholarship and awareness programs nationwide.

Sia Brain Awareness Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization founded in 2011 in memory of Sia Christine Yorker and others affected by adverse brain conditions.
Our Mission:
We educate the community on the signs and symptoms of acute brain hemorrhages and other brain conditions, promote preventive measures to avoid head injuries, and provide support to those grieving brain-related losses.
Through the Sia Yorker Medical Science Scholarship Foundation, Inc., we award scholarships to underserved Central Florida high school students pursuing Medical/Science degrees, promote brain health education, and inspire children ages 2–12 through hands-on STEM programs, fostering the next generation of medical and scientific professionals.
Our community initiatives include direct student services in schools and hospitals, the annual Brain Walk-A-Thon, bike and helmet giveaways, holiday toy and food distributions, educational seminars, and the Community Cares Youth Volunteer Program, which brings together young people and seniors to build connections while giving back to the community
